The team possesses an extremely successful track record in multi-family construction and development. Over the last 10 years alone, the team has directed the development of approximately 3000 units with a value of approximately $1 billion in the Western United States.
The management team has been successful in developing real estate because of a disciplined and strategic approach to acquisition, development, construction operations, property management and timely disposition of real estate assets.

Louis is a Principal and the President of ReyLenn. Prior to forming ReyLenn, Louis was the Executive Vice President and Partner of The Morgan Group, Inc. (“MGI”). During his tenure at MGI, Louis was initially responsible for successfully establishing MGI’s development operations on the east coast and was thereafter responsible for all development throughout the western region of the United States. In that capacity, the 30-year real estate veteran has been responsible for overseeing all aspects of acquisition, pre-development, development, construction and asset management. Prior to joining MGI, Louis was President of Houston-based LHK Investments, a brokerage firm specializing in the site selection, entitlement approval and acquisition of multifamily housing sites nationwide. He previously served as Vice President of Development for the Lokey Companies, the country’s seventh-largest multifamily developer. Louis’ vast real estate experience includes acquisition, development, construction and property management of more than 21,000 apartment units in 28 cities nationwide. He has had direct exposure in underwriting in approximately 40 U.S. markets. The 1983 graduate of Southern Methodist University earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with an emphasis on finance and real estate.
Ric is a Principal and the Chief Operating Officer/General Counsel of ReyLenn. Prior to the formation of ReyLenn, Ric served as Senior Vice President/General Counsel-West Coast for The Morgan Group, Inc. (“MGI”). In that position, Ric’s primary responsibilities included assistance with the pre-development and development phases of all projects, as well as in the acquisition, entitlement, joint-venture/equity structuring, financing, construction and disposition process for MGI’s projects on the West Coast. While at MGI, Ric successfully negotiated and closed construction financing and joint venture agreements with institutional equity partners for projects with a total cost in excess of $285,000,000 and successfully negotiated and closed sales transactions with an aggregate sales price of projects in excess of $450,000,000. Prior to joining MGI, for over 17 years, Ric was a member and partner of the San Diego law firm of Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch LLP. As the former leader of the firm’s real estate team his practice encompassed all aspects of commercial real estate development Ric received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Boston University. Ric is a 1981 graduate of the University of San Diego School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1981. In 2012, Ric was selected as “Father of the Year” by the San Diego Council of the American Diabetes Association.
Barney is a principal and serves as the President of ReyLenn’s affiliate, ReyLenn Construction Company. Prior to joining the ReyLenn team, Barney served as the Regional Senior Vice President, Construction Operations with MGI and its affiliate, Morgan Construction Company. Barney brings more than 30+ years of experience in high-density urban infill development, construction technology and management for Type-3, Type- 3 Modified, Type-5, Type-5 Modified construction and successfully achieved approvals on Alternate Means and Methods with various Building Departments and City Board of Appeals. Barney has overseen and controlled the development of a wide variety of award winning projects and product types including affordable to luxury in the multi-family attached; small lot condominium; urban high-density multi-story over parking structure, along with master planned community site development and infrastructure expertise. Barney previously served as Director of Operations with Irvine Apartment Communities (IAC) San Diego and continued his career as Development Manager and Vice President of Operations for KB Home Urban Division in Irvine California where Barney managed all aspect of the company’s urban construction projects for Southern California. Barney’s background includes extensive expertise in conceptual design, pre-development, preconstruction estimating, land acquisition, contract negotiations, joint venture relationships and construction operations. Barney has successfully completed numerous award winning communities throughout California.
Christy is the Chief Financial Officer for ReyLenn and its affiliate, ReyLenn Construction. Christy brings over 30 years of financial and accounting experience to the company. Prior to joining ReyLenn she was a principal and Chief Financial Officer for a multi-state condominium developer for over 8 years. She was responsible for all financial aspects of the organization, as well as acquisition due diligence, financing, risk management, property management and human resources. She has also served as Chief Financial Officer for a regional developer in Southern California, Director of Underwriting for a mortgage banker specializing in single tenant triple-net leased real estate loans and Senior Vice President at various banking institutions specializing in troubled loan workouts and asset management. Christy began her career in public accounting with Arthur Young. Christy graduated from San Diego State University in 1980 with a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. She is a Certified Public Accountant and licensed real estate broker.
Derek serves as Senior Vice President of Development of ReyLenn. For over 12 years, Derek served as Vice President of Development for The Morgan Group, Inc. (“MGI”). In that role, Derek spearheaded the development operations for MGI’s multifamily and mixed-use pipelines in the western U.S. His responsibilities encompassed full life-cycle program management of all new projects, including feasibility assessments, consulting team selection and direction, project design, public outreach, government relations and construction oversight. During his tenure with MGI, he designed and successfully entitled over $600 million in ground-up developments in some of the most environmentally sensitive settings and highest barrier-to-entry markets in the country. Prior to joining MGI, Derek served as the Vice President of Operations for Matthews Land Company (“MLC”), a Bay Area real estate, land use planning and construction management consulting firm serving multi-national corporations and public utilities. Under his direction, MLC grew into a multi-state industry leader and acquired, entitled and constructed projects in over 130 communities throughout the western U.S. In addition to his consulting experience at MLC, Derek has served as an Urban Planner and CEQA specialist for municipal governments and redevelopment agencies in Southern California.
Adam serves as Vice President of Development for ReyLenn, and is responsible for managing all aspects of the land acquisition process from site identification to closing. Prior to ReyLenn, Adam worked as a land broker for Land Advisors Organization specializing in residential infill sites throughout the Greater Los Angeles market. For five years prior, Adam owned and operated Vesta Management, a general contracting and brokerage company that managed and refurbished residential REO’s for banks, non-profits, and the City of Los Angeles. Adam began his real estate career in multifamily land acquisition roles for public and private builders such as KB Home, Centex Homes, and Casden Properties. He is a licensed California Real Estate Broker and California General Contractor.
Jennifer serves as Project Manager/Construction Coordinator for ReyLenn and its affiliate, ReyLenn Construction. She is involved in pre-construction services; facilitating smooth coordination between owner, government agencies and consultants. Additionally, she oversees bid services and subcontract administration. Prior to joining ReyLenn Jennifer was Development Project Manager with The Morgan Group, Inc. (“MGI”) While at MGI, Jennifer was responsible for managing entitlement and pre-construction project design teams. Prior to joining MGI, Jennifer was on the East coast with Webster Financial Corporation ($17.3 billion in assets) as an Internal Staff Auditor providing oversight in all areas of business & consumer banking, national mortgage lending and regulatory operations. Jennifer also brings a background in architectural construction defect investigation and real estate property management. Jennifer has achieved the designation of LEED Accredited Professional; with a specialty in Building Design and Construction, through the US Green Building Council, the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings.
Jason is Vice President of Development of ReyLenn and leads the Denver office. In this role he is responsible for site selection, underwriting, land acquisition, entitlement and development management. Prior to joining ReyLenn, Jason held dual responsibilities at Carmel Partners; new development and Director of Capital Improvements for existing and acquisition rehabilitation assets. In addition to assets in Denver Colorado, Jason supervised capital improvements and repositioning of portfolio assets in Washington DC. Jason began his career in multifamily in 1998 with JPI, where he assisted in the development of over 3,000 units and $300,000,000 in capitalization. In 2003, Jason partnered with industry veteran Tim McEntee to form a new company, Hibernia Holdings that focused on both for-sale and for-rent multifamily development. In addition to this venture, Jason was a Financial Manager with Greystar Partners and Development Associate with Wood Partners. Jason has formed and served on several Colorado HOA boards and is an active chairperson on his ranch owners association in southern Colorado. Jason has been a licensed Colorado Real Estate Broker since 1999. Jason received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Wyoming in 1998.
John serves as Regional Manager of ReyLenn Construction and heads the Denver region. Prior to joining the ReyLenn Construction team in 2013, John accumulated over 15 years of multifamily development and construction experience in the role of both a Superintendent and Project Manager for several of the Nation's top apartment builders including Fairfield Development, Trammel Crow Residential and Alliance Residential. John has strong and diverse experience in all phases of multi-family development and construction management with particular expertise in pre-construction planning, estimating and buy-out. He has an excellent track record of leading successful teams through complex projects. John is a graduate of Virginia Tech where he received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering.
